Wireless TelehomeCare Solutions

Enabling Modern Healthcare Practice

Contemporary healthcare increasingly endorses the introduction of home-based monitoring of chronically ill patients. Patient's whereabouts, vital signs or other pre-defined readings can be wirelessly transmitted to monitoring centers, patients' physicians and caregivers, enabling timely, accurate reaction to patient's condition or behavior. TelehomeCare systems are proving highly efficient and cost effective.

A Continuous, Real Time, Individual Monitoring Platform

HomeFree technology is based on a flexible, wireless communication platform enabling the real time, continuous transfer of data derived from body-borne sensors to a monitoring center. HomeFree systems can be configured for the monitoring of individuals at home environments or to accommodate the monitoring of groups of patients in institutional facilities. Data is constantly gathered and analyzed, not requiring patient's active intervention, enabling patients to go about their daily routines undisturbed.

HomeFree Personal TelehomeCare system modular components are:

Personal Watcher™ (PW) - an external, small body-worn device, designed for use over extended periods of time. HomeFree's PWs are data-collection units with built-in computing capabilities and an integrated RF transmitter. The PW can be linked to various types of sensors, and continuously transfer the data to Local Monitoring Units (at home) or Wireless Monitoring Centers (at institutional facilities).

Local Monitoring Unit (LMU) - a mini control-unit, located at patient's place of residence which collects, analyzes and acts on information coming from a Personal Watcher™. The LMU communicates with a Monitoring Center via phone lines (land lines or cellular communication, directly or over the internet).

Wireless Monitoring Units - a modular network of wireless data receiving units, communicating information to and from a monitoring station. Enables simultaneous monitoring of groups of PWs wearers in a set environment.

Caregivers' Local Pager - for immediate local notification. Allows caregivers to go about their daily activities, including peripheral areas (porches, basements, yards etc.) Prompt alerts are emitted upon patients leaving or entering pre-defined areas, or tampering with Personal Watchers.
Care centers' staff pagers can also assist in locating wandering patients.

Local Monitoring Station Application - Used in institutional care facilities. A simple to use database and monitoring software program that collects information from the wireless monitoring units for further analysis and handling. Care centers' module includes a customized map of the premises for easy, visual presence verification.
